A bespoke ink illustration created inside the letterforms. This monogram was commissioned as a gift for the grrom-to-be.
The personalisation includes references to two places of significance to the couple; London, where they met and Lichfield, where they live and will be married. You'll see included, Big Ben, The Gherkin and the London Eye alongside the Lichfield Cathedral. The couple's dog, Lola is featured centre underneath the date of their upcoming wedding. The illustration includes both flowers and geometric patterns. The flowers selected are Dahlias, which are symbolic of commitment and major life changes and forget-me-not to represent true love and to stand as a reminder of their special day. Forget-me-not are also the birth flower of September, the month of their wedding. As the client wanted to include a moon in the illustration, the background of the letters was filled with a starry night sky.
All this was squeezed into the initials of the couple for a gift the groom will treasure for ever!
